The Cavaliers Tour XI made the short journey to Hundall today for the first time.
Once again the Cavs found themselves fielding first with N Davidson (6-0-32-0) and T Mayhew (6-1-30-0) again unlucky to go wicketless. With C Finch (6-0-46-0), W Newton (5-0-10-0) and P Johnson (3-0-17-0) also going without a wicket, it was left the the captain T Chedgey (3-0-20-2) to make the only breakthroughs of the day. With D Young (1-0-9-0) bowling the last over of the day, Hundall ended their 30 overs on 168/2.
The Cavaliers reply got off to a slow start before E Parry (10) was the first man out. A second wicket partnership of 20 in 12 overs then saw the Cavs up to 32/1 before N Davidson (16) was next to go. With C Finch (6) the next to go, the Cavaliers were 44/3 after 21.2 overs. After S Pillalamarri (6) was dismissed with the score on 50, P Johnson and D Young added 20 together before Johnson (2) was out. A quick-fire 19 from W Newton saw the Cavs up to 89/6 upon his dismissal with 7 balls remaining. With 14 coming from those remaining balls, the Cavs ended their 30 overs on 103/6 with D Young (26*) and T Chedgey (1*) the not out batsmen.
An excellent and friend game ended with N Davidson being nominated as the Cavaliers Man of the Match by Hundall.
