It was crunch weekend for the survival of the second team in Division 4 as we had fixtures against two sides just safe from relegation. Relegation rivals Ardleigh were also in action on Saturday against Real Oddies.

Winning Streak Broken but Promotion Assured

A double header for the First XI gave us the opportunity to secure promotion but, contrary to reports in the local press, the Division 3 title will not be decided until after the crunch game against title rivals Little Baddow.

Seconds Overwhelm Horkesley

With the holiday season kicking in many second XI regulars were unavailable leaving us with a very strong team on paper. Horkesley bowled well to prevent us getting past 200 runs but our fielding was tigerish once more and turned the game. (more…)
